SECTION IX EVENT CALENDAR FOR 2024 BOYS TENNIS Coordinators:          Urvashi Gupta - Email: tututen@verizon.net         Cell #: (845)807-8395 Matt Hayden -   Email: mhayden@ecsdm.org       Cell #: (845)800-3477 Division I (Large School) TEAM Sectional Semi-Final  o Date: Saturday, May 11, 2024 (Rain Date: May 12) Start Time: TBD o A 2 Team semi-final playoff will be used to determine OCIAA Team Representative - Division 1 large school winner vs. Division 2 Large school winner. Site: Middletown HS or Goshen Sports Complex A. Section IX TEAM Championship (OCIAA vs. MHAL) o Monday 5/13/2024 Start Time: 3:30pm OCIAA and MHAL (Division 1 and 2) Team Representatives compete. o Site:  Match Point Tennis @ Goshen Sports Complex (*All individual/team league records from coaches must be submitted to Section IX Coordinators Matt Hayden and Urvashi Gupta upon advancing to Regional and/or NYSPHSAA Championships.);  B. Section IX Singles/Doubles (INDIVIDUAL) Championships : Wednesday 5/22/2024- Thursday 5/23/24 o On Wednesday 5/22/24 Both Singles and Doubles Matches will be played up to and including the Quarter Final Round. o On Thursday 5/23/24 both Singles and Doubles Semi Finals and Finals along with Consolation round for both third and fourth place will be played. Start Time: 10am on both days.  Coaches Meeting: 9:30am on both days. Site: Goshen Sports Complex: 1717 Route 17M, Goshen, NY Tele: (845)294-0017 o MHAL and OCIAA individuals reaching the quarterfinals of the 2024 OCIAA or MHAL Boys Tennis Singles and Doubles Individual Championships shall qualify for the 2024 Section IX Boys Tennis Singles and Doubles Individual Championships.- **SEED COMMITTEE MEETING FOR SECTION IX DRAW WILL BE HELD AT GOSHEN SPORTS COMPLEX ON FRIDAY May 17TH AT 3 PM FOLLOWING THE CONCLUSION OF THE OCIAA TOURNAMENT.  SECTION IX COACHES WHOSE PLAYERS HAVE QUALIFIED FOR SECTION IX TOURNAMENT ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THIS MEETING** C.  NYSPHSAA Sub-Regional Team Tennis (SECTION IV vs SECTION IX)      Date : Monday May 20, 2024      Time: 3:30/4pm until conclusion      Site: Goshen Sports Complex D.  NYSPHSAA Regional Team Tennis (Winner of SECTION IV vs SECTION IX to play @ Section I) Dates: Tues, May 28th (Wed, May 29th rain date).  A determination will be made several days in advance based on weather.  In the event there is rain for both of these days, then we will look at Mon, June 3rd or Tues, June 4th.  We do not have access to indoor courts.  (Monday, May 27th is Memorial Day and Thursday, May 30th is the travel day for NYSPHSAA State Individuals.) Location: Harrison HS, 255 Union Ave, Harrison NY 10528 (Pull into the parking lot and stay to the left.  Drive all the way down to the end of the parking lot and you will see the courts.  There are 8 outdoor courts with lights.) Time: Division II at 4pm (Teams may start arriving by 2:45pm to warm up.  Welcome and intros at 3:45pm with a 4pm match start time.  All 5 matches will be played at the same time.  There are additional courts, so exhibition matches can also be played.)  Division I at 6pm (Division I will be played at the conclusion of Division II.  Teams for Division I should arrive by 5pm and will be given time to warm-up at the conclusion of the Division II matches.  6pm is an estimated start time.  All 7 matches will be played at the same time.  There will be 1 additional court, so exhibition matches can also be played.) Format: Best 2 out of 3 full sets with ad, 10pt super tiebreaker for the 3rd set, if necessary.  Section I will provide tennis balls.
