Section IX Girls Golf Information 2018:

Important Rule: In the OCL  and Section IX Tournaments, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. Cell phones are not allowed nor any other multi- functional device that has the capability to connect to the internet. This includes, but is not limited internet capable smartphones, tablets, or PDA's which may be used as a distance measuring device, even if no other features or applications installed on the device are not actually used. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, windspeed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional function is actually used.
