Section IX Information:

NYSPHSAA Heat Index Policy SECTION IX EVENT CALENDAR FOR 2023 GIRLS TENNIS - A. Section IX Team Championship (OCIAA vs. MHAL), Friday 10/13* (*date subject to change)           Start Time: 4 pm - OCIAA and MHAL (Division 1 and 2 Team Champions compete); Site: Goshen Sports Complex (details to follow) B. Section IX Singles/Doubles (Individual) Championships Tuesday 10/17 - Wednesday 10/18/2023 On Tuesday 10/17/23 Both Singles and Doubles Matches will be played up to and including the Quarter Final Round. On Wednesday 10/18/2023 both Singles and Doubles Semi Finals and Finals along with Consolation round for third place will be played. Start Time: 10am on both days.  Coaches Meeting: 9:30am on both days. Site: Goshen Sports Complex: 1717 Route 17M, Goshen, NY Tele: (845)294-0017 - MHAL and OCIAA individuals reaching the quarterfinals of the 2023 OCIAA or MHAL Girls Tennis Singles and Doubles Individual  Championships shall qualify for the 2023 Section IX Girls Tennis Singles and Doubles Individual Championships; *Participants who finish in 1^st – 4^th place in Singles (valid only for 2023 based on 5 year rotation to fill byes with at-large selections as per NYSPHSAA) and 1^st – 3^rd place in Doubles in this Section IX event shall qualify for the 2023 NYSPHSAA Girls Doubles & Singles Individual Championships ** SEED COMMITTEE MEETING FOR SECTION IX DRAW WILL BE HELD AT GOSHEN SPORTS COMPLEX ON THURSDAY OCTOBER 12th AT 3PM FOLLOWING THE CONCLUSION OF THE OCIAA TOURNAMENT.  SECTION IX COACHES WHOSE PLAYERS HAVE QUALIFIED FOR SECTION IX TOURNAMENT ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THIS MEETING. C. NYSPHSAA Sub-Regional Team Competition , Friday 10/20/2023* (*date subject to change) Start Time: 4 pm -Section IX Team Champions host  Section IV; (*All individual/team league records from coaches must be submitted to Section IX Coordinators upon advancing to Regional and/or NYSPHSAA Championships.); -Site: Goshen Sports Complex  (details to follow) D. NYSPHSAA Regional Team Tennis Championships (Dates to be decided by Section I and will be posted at a later date) Section I will host the winner of Section IX vs I E. NYSPHSAA Singles/Doubles Individual) Championships, 10/26-10/28/2023 - Participants who finish in 1^st- 4th places in this Section IX Singles event and 1^st – 3rd place in Doubles shall qualify for the 2023 NYSPHSAA Girls Tennis Singles and Doubles Individual Championships; -Site: SPORTIME, Schenectady (information on NYSPHSAA website) F. NYSPHSAA Team Championships, 11/3/2023 -NYSPHSAA Regional Champions (North, South, West and East) compete at the NYSPHSAA Team State Championship, Semis and Finals; -site:  USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center
