Section IX Announces Season Start Dates for 2008-09:
Fall: August 18, 2008
Winter: Ice Hockey – Mon, Nov. 3, 2008-All other November 10, 2008
Spring: March 9, 2009

 The date for the CPR Update in Liberty has been changed from August 21, 2008. THE NEW DATE IS: August 26, 2008.
 Valley Central will be holding a special Kick-Off Day on Friday, September 5th wherein they will honor Dr. William Moran in recognition of his selection to the NYS Athletic Hall of Fame. Among the activities to held are:
- 4pm: An Olympic Village with Vendors, Merchandise and Games; Sports Clinics;
- 6pm: The West Point Black Knights Parachute Team
- 7pm: Presentation of Game Ball to Dr. Moran; Recognition of the 1968 VC Football Team - 40th Anniversary of OCL Championship Season.
- 7:30pm: Kick off - Middletown @ VC
- 9pm: Fireworks Display

Soccer officials needed in Sullivan County! Group meets every Sunday. Classes start at 6 pm on August 3 & 10 Meetings follow from 7 to 8 pm.
